Description For Computer Vision Engineer

Aquabyte is revolutionizing aquaculture through innovative technology, focusing on sustainable fish farming practices. The company develops sophisticated systems using underwater cameras, computer vision, and machine learning to monitor and optimize salmon farming operations. Their product operates across three levels: on-site hardware for image capture, cloud pipelines for data processing, and a user-facing web application.

As a Computer Vision Engineer, you'll be integral to developing and deploying algorithms that help fish farms worldwide. The role involves working with both on-camera and cloud software, focusing on machine learning model development. You'll be part of the AI team, working alongside experienced engineers to develop solutions for understanding fish weight and health monitoring.

The position offers a competitive package including equity, comprehensive healthcare, and flexible work arrangements. The company culture emphasizes customer-driven development and collaborative problem-solving. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on sustainable food production while working with cutting-edge technology.

Aquabyte is backed by notable investors including NEA and Costanoa Ventures, and maintains its headquarters in San Francisco.
