  • Analyzing high-level needs and refining them into integrated hardware and software solutions
  • Identifying & defining desired system capabilities
  • Communicating capabilities to developers, engineers, and stakeholders
  • Generating architecture artifacts for documentation and control
  • Designing and developing new systems and integrating existing systems
  • Communicating with customers and related system programs
  • Developing system architecture, design, and interface definitions
  • Supporting internal and external design reviews
  • Developing models and architectural guidelines

Requirements For System Architect Engineer

  • Current/active DoD issued SECRET security clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 8 years experience, or Master's with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years, or 12 years experience
  • Experience developing system engineering artifacts
  • Experience with DOORS for requirements management
  • Experience with CAMEO
  • Experience with Distributed Training System (DTS)
  • Experience working in integrated team environments
  • System-of-system definition and integration experience
