This role is for a Lead Controls Engineering position within their Industry & Energy Technology (IET) team, focusing on designing and implementing control systems for turbomachinery products used in energy production, transformation, recovery, and decarbonization.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions in the energy sector. As a Lead Control System Engineer, you'll be responsible for defining control system architectures, implementing control philosophies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver sophisticated control solutions. The role involves working with international standards and contributing to new product development in the energy transition value chain.

This is initially a 12-month temporary position with the possibility of conversion to permanent. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in a relevant engineering field, strong technical expertise in control systems, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities For Lead Engineer - Controls Engineering

  • Define Turbomachinery Control Systems architecture based on project requirements
  • Apply international standards (ATEX, CSA, NEC/NEMA, IECex)
  • Define Package Control philosophy based on internal standards and customer needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues on control hardware and software design
  • Optimize and simplify internal standard solutions and design tools
  • Contribute to New Product Development in Energy Transition programs

Requirements For Lead Engineer - Controls Engineering

Linux
  • MSc in Control, Electrical, Electronic, Industrial, Management or Computer Science Engineering
  • Proficiency in Control System design and development tools
  • Knowledge of PLC architectures and computer networks
  • Industrial Safety principles knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel worldwide up to 10% of time
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
