Job Description

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group is seeking an Entry Level Controls Engineer to join their team of over 1500 professionals across 45 US offices. The role involves working with industry experts to implement control systems and automation solutions for leading companies. You'll be part of their Control System Integration Practice, working alongside technical specialists and subject matter experts. Key responsibilities include designing and programming control systems, troubleshooting machinery, developing HMI interfaces, and traveling to client sites for implementation. Requirements For Entry Level Automation & Controls Engineer (Start Summer/Fall 2026)

  • Bachelor of science in electrical engineering or computer engineering, or equivalent technical degree
  • Ability to organize and execute multiple project responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel for project requirements
  • Co-op or project experience with electrical engineering and PLC automation applications (preferred)
  • Co-op or project experience with pharmaceutical, consumer products, and high-speed environments (preferred)
