Barry-Wehmiller Design Group is seeking an Entry Level Controls Engineer to join their team of over 1500 professionals across 45 US offices. Responsibilities For Entry Level Automation & Controls Engineer (Start Summer/Fall 2026)
- Design, program, and troubleshoot packaging machinery and line control systems
- Travel to clients to assist in manufacturing process design and project management
- Create user applications to monitor and control production
- Design electrical control panels
- Design industrial controller (PLC) programs and develop human machine interfaces (HMIs)
- Support project teams
- Design control systems for production lifecycle feedback
Requirements For Entry Level Automation & Controls Engineer (Start Summer/Fall 2026)
- Bachelor of science in electrical engineering or computer engineering, or equivalent technical degree
- Ability to organize and execute multiple project responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel for project requirements
- Co-op or project experience with electrical engineering and PLC automation applications (preferred)
- Co-op or project experience with pharmaceutical, consumer products, and high-speed environments (preferred)
