Responsibilities For Controls Engineer II

  • Develop embedded closed-loop control systems for electro-mechanical devices
  • Develop logic diagrams and thresholds for alarm conditions
  • Write requirements, design descriptions, and verification tests
  • Perform evaluations and verification tests
  • Develop and communicate schedules, risks, and dependencies
  • Coordinate development tasks with team
  • Setup and configure rapid-prototyping hardware and software
  • Perform systems engineering activities across product lifecycle
  • Understand clinical and user needs for product realization
  • Drive solutions and product design from a systems perspective
  • Lead feasibility studies and craft design concepts
  • Resolve systems-related technical issues

Requirements For Controls Engineer II

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Controls, Systems, Software or related technical/engineering field
  • 3+ years of industry work experience
  • Experience designing and developing modern control system in embedded devices
  • Experience with MATLAB model-based design tools – Simulink and Stateflow
  • Development of physics-based simulations of plant models
  • Knowledge of control theory including stability, root-locus, frequency response
  • Sound knowledge of systems engineering
  • Experience in electromechanical system development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with multi-functional, global teams
  • Proficiency in written and oral communication
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
