Software Engineer - Entry Level 2025

Belvedere Trading, a leading proprietary trading firm in Chicago, is seeking Entry Level Software Engineers for 2025. We specialize in market-making activities across commodities, interest rates, ETFs, and equity index options. Our success is driven by our innovative technology and dedicated tech teams.

As a Software Engineer at Belvedere, you'll develop low latency, high-performance proprietary trading systems. You'll be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment. We're looking for passionate individuals with a love for technology and interest in financial markets.

Key responsibilities include:

• Enhancing our proprietary trading software platform
• Designing and implementing complex low latency trading applications
• Balancing optimization and readability in coding
• Collaborating with team members to meet requirements and follow coding standards
• Communicating with project managers and team leadership
• Participating in our in-house learning program (BTU) to gain knowledge about trading fundamentals

We're seeking candidates with:

• Experience in object-oriented programming (C++, C#, or Java)
• Problem-solving skills and ability to optimize low latency software
• Desire to learn and solve challenging problems
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in Chicago
• Graduation date of December 2024 or May/June 2025
