CyberSecurity Engineer
Job Description
BlackCloak is seeking a proactive cybersecurity professional with strong familiarity in EDR solutions. The CyberSecurity Engineer will provide analysis to solve problems for clients, manage security incidents, collaborate on post-incident remediation, perform incident response, analyze threats, and conduct vulnerability assessments. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting forensic investigations (host, network, application, OSINT)
- Triaging active security events
- Recognizing and codifying attacker TTPs into IOCs
- Running network vulnerability assessment scans
- Communicating vulnerability and threat assessments to customers
- Developing custom scripts and tools to enhance Incident Response processes
- Creating comprehensive reports for technical and executive audiences
- Participating in on-call rotation and escalation team
- Mentoring team members and collaborating with engineering and product teams
- Performing R&D on latest cybersecurity trends
- Providing technical demonstrations and expertise to the sales team
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a senior infosec/cybersecurity analyst role, strong technical knowledge of various operating systems, and experience with EDR tools. Responsibilities For CyberSecurity Engineer
- Conduct forensic host, network, application and OSINT investigations
- Triage active security events and apply security controls
- Recognize and codify attacker tools, tactics, and procedures
- Run network vulnerability assessment scans of customer infrastructure
- Communicate vulnerability and threat assessments to customers
- Develop custom scripts, tools, or methodologies for Incident Response
- Develop comprehensive reports of forensic findings and Incident Response activities
- Participate in on-call rotation and escalation team
- Mentor and support Client Success and Security Team Members
- Work with engineering and product teams to improve BlackCloak products
- Perform research on latest cyber security attack and defense trends
- Provide technical demonstrations and subject matter expertise to sales team
Requirements For CyberSecurity Engineer
- 5+ years of experience in a senior infosec/cybersecurity analyst role
- College degree in IT/CS/CE related discipline (preferred)
- Industry recognized certifications (e.g., CISSP, GIAC, OSCP, OSCE, Security+) are a plus
- Penetration and vulnerability testing experience
- Windows and macOS forensic investigation and vulnerability management experience
- Experience in deploying, managing, and optimizing EDR tools
- Technical knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Linux)
- Ability to operate independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- High degree of interpersonal communication skills and discretion for client privacy
