Senior Data Engineer, Vice President

BlackRock SMA Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their quantitative, multi-asset investment management business. The role focuses on managing customized portfolios tax efficiently, where data plays a central role in their operations. The position involves working with custodial data, trade dissemination, security and benchmark data, and producing analytics for risk assessment.

The ideal candidate will be part of a team that owns and operates an extensive data platform, building and enhancing various data pipelines, generating reporting artifacts at scale, and expanding the data estate. The role requires 5-10 years of experience in data engineering with medium to large-scale datasets, preferably in financial services.

BlackRock offers a hybrid work model requiring at least 4 days in the office per week, with flexibility for 1 remote day. The position is available in multiple locations including Princeton, San Francisco, Sausalito, and New York, with a competitive salary range of $180,000-$215,000, plus annual bonus and comprehensive benefits.
