Software Engineer, AVP - AI Platform Development

Blackstone Technology & Innovations (BXTI) is seeking a Software Engineer to join their AI Platform Development team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work at the world's largest alternative asset manager, with $1.1 trillion in assets under management.

The position involves designing, building, and maintaining Blackstone's cutting-edge AI platform that empowers technology teams across the firm. The platform is built on modern cloud-native architecture, leveraging AWS Bedrock and Azure OpenAI for LLM capabilities and Pinecone for vector database functionality. The technical stack includes Python-based microservices using FastAPI with Pydantic for API development, complemented by React-based user interfaces built with Vite.

As a Software Engineer in this role, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining libraries, tools, and infrastructure that enable other teams to leverage large language models and AI capabilities. You'll work with a cross-functional team of technologists and collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality, well-documented solutions that drive innovation and business value.

The ideal candidate should have 4 years of software development experience, strong proficiency in Python and/or C#, and solid understanding of cloud technologies, particularly AWS. Knowledge of AI/ML technologies, especially large language models and vector databases, is crucial. The role requires excellent documentation and communication skills, as you'll be working with various technical teams across the organization.

Blackstone offers a competitive compensation package with a base salary range of $125,000 - $200,000, plus additional benefits.
