Braze, a leading customer engagement platform, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to join their Chat Apps team. This role focuses on building and scaling chat messaging channels, particularly LINE (launched in November 2024) and KakaoTalk. The role combines front-end expertise with full-stack development, requiring 5+ years of experience and mastery of modern JavaScript frameworks. Responsibilities For Senior Software Engineer II, Channels
- Build and scale Braze's chat messaging channels including LINE and KakaoTalk
- Build out new features and improve performance
- Provide guidance on key architectural decisions
- Own front-end architecture for rich messaging channels
- Work across the full technology stack
Requirements For Senior Software Engineer II, Channels
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience with strong focus in front-end web development
- Mastery of modern JavaScript tooling (React, Vue, Angular), including automated testing
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, data structures and algorithms
- Self-starter with great communication and organizational skills
- Prior experience working in a team environment
- Professional experience with Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq (Bonus)
- Experience with agile processes (Bonus)
- Professional experience building distributed systems at scale (Bonus)
