Job Description

Breakroom is on a mission to transform every job into a good job through their community-powered rating platform. With over 2 million quiz participants and 18,000 rated employers across the UK and USA, they're making significant strides in career information transparency. They're seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join their growing team following their US market launch.

The role involves working with a modern tech stack including Elixir, Phoenix framework, Postgres, Redis, Google PubSub, and OpenSearch. Prior Elixir experience isn't required - they're willing to support learning on the job. The team follows an agile methodology, emphasizing data-driven decision-making and user-centric development.

The position offers a competitive package of £65,000 - £87,500 plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits including health insurance, pension matching, and flexible working arrangements. The hybrid work model requires office presence in Shoreditch, London on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level engineer with 5+ years of experience to join a mission-driven company that's making a real impact in the job market. The role offers significant scope for technical growth and direct influence on product development, while working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

The ideal candidate should be passionate about Breakroom's mission, have strong full-stack development experience, and be comfortable with both frontend and backend technologies. They should excel in team collaboration and be ready to contribute to technical decisions that shape the product's future.
