Job Description
Burnt is revolutionizing the global food supply chain by building an AI Watchtower that automates processes and eliminates waste. As a Founding Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in scaling Burnt from a wedge product into full enterprise deployments. You'll rapidly ship high-quality code and own end-to-end projects, including LLM orchestration pipelines, real-time integrations into legacy ERPs, and intelligent workflow automation. This role offers the opportunity to sit with customers, understand their needs, and build empathy for the people whose lives your code will transform.
By joining as one of the first engineers, you will shape how AI rewires one of the world's largest and most overlooked industries. Your contributions will directly impact the reduction of waste, the elimination of legacy costs, and the improvement of food affordability and accessibility worldwide. Responsibilities
- Rapidly ship high-quality code
- Own end-to-end projects that are technically demanding and strategically critical
- Build LLM orchestration pipelines
- Build real-time integrations into legacy ERPs
- Develop intelligent workflow automation
- Create user-facing tools for distributors
- Sit with customers to build empathy for their needs
Requirements
- 2-5 years of professional experience
- Experience in a hypergrowth startup phase (Seed to Series B)
