CAE USA's Defense & Security division is seeking a Sensor Software Engineer to join their Passive Sensors team, focusing on simulating Targeting Pods and Electronic Warfare solutions for military training devices. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and integrating real-time aero and aircraft systems simulations for military training devices. Responsibilities For Sensor Software Engineer

  • Design, develop, integrate, and test Targeting Pod and Electronic Warfare models
  • Apply software engineering principles to complete assigned tasks within budget and schedule
  • Work with senior engineers to understand tasking
  • Maintain, upgrade, and improve existing Targeting Pod and Electronic Warfare models
  • Analyze legacy Targeting Pod and Electronic Warfare models
  • Contribute to development and deployment of training systems
  • Interface with platform simulation applications
  • Perform product-level integration and troubleshooting

Requirements For Sensor Software Engineer

Linux
  • DoD Secret Clearance required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming techniques and design patterns
  • Experience with developing software for Linux
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Strong C/C++ skills
