Job Description

The Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT), an agency under Singapore's Ministry of Defence, is seeking a Platform & SRE Engineer to join their Digital Workplace team. This role combines traditional SRE practices with digital workplace platform engineering, focusing on building and maintaining enterprise communication and collaboration systems.

The position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and implement modern software engineering practices in a government setting. You'll be responsible for developing and integrating scalable enterprise platforms, implementing Infrastructure as Code, managing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring system reliability through SRE principles.

Responsibilities For Platform & SRE Engineer (Digital Workplace)

  • Develop, implement and integrate scalable enterprise communication and collaboration platforms and services
  • Apply modern software engineering practices including Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control
  • Design secure and intelligent platforms by integrating security principles and managing AI agents
  • Ensure platform reliability and Digital Employee Experience (DEX) through observability tools and SLO/SLI monitoring

Requirements For Platform & SRE Engineer (Digital Workplace)

  • Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Electronic/Electrical Engineering
  • Expert Knowledge in conferencing platforms (Cisco, Q-Sys, Pexip), communication platforms, or collaboration platforms
  • Proficiency in deploying platforms across Windows, Linux, and Android OS
  • Ability to configure and maintain databases, server modules, and client modules
  • Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and tools (PowerShell, Python, Terraform)
  • Familiarity with observability tools (ElasticSearch)
  • Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with device management systems
