Job Description
The Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT), an agency under Singapore's Ministry of Defence, is seeking a Platform & SRE Engineer to join their Workplace Technology team. This role combines traditional SRE practices with enterprise IT management, focusing on developing and maintaining digital workplace platforms and end-user technologies. The position offers an opportunity to work with modern technologies and implement DevOps practices in a government setting.
The role involves applying software engineering principles to enterprise IT, including Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing. You'll be responsible for ensuring platform reliability through SRE principles and managing various enterprise tools for communication, collaboration, and identity management. The position requires a strong technical background with experience in various enterprise systems and security tools.
As part of CSIT, you'll be contributing to Singapore's defence technology capabilities while working with modern DevOps practices and tools. Responsibilities For Platform & SRE Engineer (Workplace Technology)
- Develop, implement and integrate scalable enterprise end-user and service desk platforms and services
- Apply modern software engineering practices including Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control
- Ensure platform reliability and Digital Employee Experience (DEX) through observability tools and SLOs/SLIs monitoring
- Design secure and intelligent platforms by integrating security principles and managing AI agents
Requirements For Platform & SRE Engineer (Workplace Technology)
- Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Electronic/Electrical Engineering
- Experience with device management systems (MECM, Samsung EMM, WS1, UEM)
- Experience with VDI platforms (VMware Horizon, Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop, AWS Workspaces)
- IAM systems administration (Directory services, SSO, MFA)
- Knowledge of IT service desk platforms (Jira Service Desk, ServiceNow)
- Experience with endpoint security tools (Trellix AV, DLP, EDR)
- Experience with video conferencing systems (Cisco, Q-Sys, Pexip)
- Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and tools (PowerShell, Python, Terraform)
- Familiarity with advanced observability platforms (NexThink, ServiceNow)
