Description For Security Architect

Cisco is seeking a Security Architect to join their Security Services Organization in Japan. This role combines technical leadership, pre-sales expertise, and deep technical knowledge to support both internal and external stakeholders. The Security Architect will be responsible for providing technical guidance across information and cyber security, with a strong focus on Enterprise and Service Provider Security.

The role involves working on diverse projects including security architecture design, advising customers on security deployment issues, designing complex multi-vendor security solutions for large-scale service provider networks, and supporting risk and threat mitigation solutions. The position requires close alignment with all Cisco Customer Experience teams and the ability to bridge communication between technical teams and customers.

Key responsibilities include building future state security architectures, implementing security solutions in multi-vendor environments, developing security standards and policies, and driving automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network security, strong technical skills including programming knowledge, and excellent communication abilities in both Japanese and English.

Responsibilities For Security Architect

  • Build Future State Architecture for Security along with customer requirements
  • Design and deploy security solutions in multi-vendor environments
  • Develop and implement designs, standards and policies based on customer security requirements
  • Work on improving processes and automation for networking infrastructure
  • Work with a worldwide team on innovations of security services
  • Communicate with customers to drive customer success
  • Represent the Cisco Security Solutions team on internal and external events

Requirements For Security Architect

  • Networking engineering with network security knowledge and scripting languages experience (Python, Java, PowerShell)
  • Knowledge of security products and hands-on deployment experience
  • 10+ years of security experience with customer-facing roles
  • Strong experience in Unix/Linux/MS environment at systems administrator level
  • Knowledge of network-based and system-level attacks and mitigation methods
  • Knowledge of industrial standards (NIST SP-800, ISO27000, OT standard, IoT standard)
  • Deep knowledge in modern threat detection and analysis methodologies
  • Fluent Japanese Language skills both written and spoken
  • Business level English Language skills (reading/writing)
  • Excellent project management skill and experience on security projects
