Design Engineer, Docs Platform
Job Description
Cloudflare is seeking a Design Engineer for their Product Content Experience (PCX) team to help build and scale their documentation platform. This role is part of the Emerging Technologies & Incubation (ETI) department, where new and bold products are developed. The position offers an opportunity to work on the docs site and other interactive projects, collaborating with technical writers, content strategists, developer educators, and product teams.
The ideal candidate will have 2-7 years of experience with distributed systems and frontend development, particularly using TypeScript. They'll be responsible for maintaining and improving the documentation platform that serves millions of developers, from individual bloggers to Fortune 100 companies.

Responsibilities For Design Engineer, Docs Platform
- Build and maintain our documentation platform
- Work with technical writers, content strategists, and developer educators to create a seamless process for technical content
- Collaborate with Product teams to be customer zero for Cloudflare's own products within our documentation platform
- Cultivate and establish relationships both internally and externally with users of our documentation
Requirements For Design Engineer, Docs Platform
- 2-7 years of experience working with distributed systems
- Experience designing and building frontend applications
- Solid understanding of cloud primitives and how they work together to build distributed systems
- Knowledge of at least one modern strongly-typed programming language: we primarily use TypeScript
- Experience debugging, optimizing and identifying failure modes in frontend applications
