Job Description

Console is revolutionizing IT and internal support through their AI platform, helping companies like Ramp, Scale, Webflow, and Flock Safety automate over half of their IT & HR requests. As a Design Engineer at Console, you'll play a crucial role in creating magical product experiences by straddling the boundary between design and engineering.

The role demands a unique blend of technical expertise and design sensibility, where you'll be responsible for building smooth, performant user experiences and owning Console's design system. You'll work with streaming responses, interleaved UI components, and add thoughtful animation touches that elevate the product experience.

Console offers an environment where ideas win on merit, not hierarchy. The team is small, talent-dense, and characterized by curiosity, high-agency, and low-ego attitudes. They've achieved significant market success, winning every bake-off against competitors and closing every trial customer, with expectations to 10x usage by year-end.

The position is based in San Francisco with an in-person work setting, offering competitive compensation ($200K-$350K), equity with early exercise & QSBS eligibility, and comprehensive benefits. They provide relocation assistance for new employees and maintain a strong focus on work-life balance with unlimited PTO and daily provided meals.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 4+ years of design or design engineering experience who is passionate about creating exceptional product experiences and has strong front-end development skills in TypeScript, Node, and React. The role offers significant growth potential as Console scales, with a culture that rewards impact over credentials.
