Job Description
CoStar Group, a leading provider of real estate information and analytics, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in React for their Research Development team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on the company's proprietary CRM platform supporting major platforms like Homes.com, Costar.com, Apartments.com, and LoopNet.com. Based in Richmond, VA, the position follows a hybrid work model with Monday-Thursday in office and Friday remote.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance web applications using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. They will play a crucial role in building scalable UI components, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining front-end architecture. The position requires 5+ years of production development experience and strong expertise in modern front-end technologies.

Responsibilities For Senior Software Engineer (React)- Research Development
- Develop and maintain engaging, responsive web applications using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS
- Build reusable, scalable, and secure UI components and libraries
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform business needs into technical solutions
- Contribute to and maintain shared component libraries and front-end architecture
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and agile ceremonies
- Mentor other developers
- Be a subject matter expert in front-end technology stack
Requirements For Senior Software Engineer (React)- Research Development
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited, not for profit university or college
- 5+ years of production development experience using modern front-end frameworks
- Strong proficiency in React.js, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS
- Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and front-end build tools
- Strong grasp of web standards, accessibility, and security best practices
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Experience in unit, performance and automation testing
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
