As a Data Engineer at Coverflex, you will be at the forefront of designing, building, and maintaining scalable data systems that drive decision-making and innovation. The role requires strong expertise in Python, SQL, and DBT, with experience in data orchestration frameworks like Prefect. Responsibilities For Data Engineer (Remote - Europe)
- Build, manage, and optimize scalable data systems and pipelines, while contributing to their overall architecture
- Transform, organize, and evaluate raw data into clean, structured, and reliable datasets
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and analysts to turn business needs into technical solutions
- Integrate and combine data from multiple sources to support analytics, predictive, and prescriptive modeling
- Continuously monitor and improve data pipeline performance, quality, and reliability
- Contribute to the development of a semantic layer and self-service analytics for internal stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for new data acquisition, enrichment, and automation
Requirements For Data Engineer (Remote - Europe)
- At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong expertise in DBT, SQL, Python, and data orchestration frameworks (Prefect or similar)
- Proven experience with ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, data mining, and big data processing
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining pipelines in cloud environments, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Proficiency with relational databases and handling semi-structured/tabular data
- Familiarity with BI and analytics tools such as Lightdash or Hex
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field
