Crusoe Energy is seeking a Staff Security Engineer to play a critical role in safeguarding their infrastructure and services. This position requires a deep understanding of both on-premises and cloud security architectures, as well as the ability to design, implement, and manage advanced security solutions. The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to enhance the company's security posture, ensuring the protection of infrastructure, data, and customer assets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the selection, design, and implementation of security technologies at scale
- Consulting and advising engineering teams on security architecture and best practices
- Managing detection, response, investigation, and remediation of security vulnerabilities
- Fostering an environment of adopting security best practices
- Partnering with developers and reliability teams to create visibility and awareness of security maturity opportunities
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Information Security
- Experience in infrastructure security, cloud security, application security, threat detection, and incident response
- Expertise in designing and building tools for automating security processes
- Track record of implementing security best practices for critical production systems
- Familiarity with modern infrastructure tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Cloud Formation, Terraform
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments
- Strong communication and writing skills
