As a Principal Network Engineer, you'll join their Cloud Engineering team to design and operate global edge, backbone, and data center networks for HPC Clusters with GPUs. This role requires 15+ years of experience and deep expertise in network protocols, architecture, and cloud connectivity. You'll lead and mentor a team while developing technical solutions that scale with Crusoe Cloud's growth. Responsibilities For Principal Network Engineer
- Design, build, operate, and optimize Crusoe Cloud's global network, including edge, backbone, data center, and public cloud connectivity
- Work with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and evolution of the Crusoe Cloud network
- Work with external vendors and ISPs to test and verify device and carrier selection
Requirements For Principal Network Engineer
- 15+ years of related experience building and architecting at scale in a production environment
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, QoS, BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, EVPN, VXLAN, MPLS)
- Good understanding of network monitoring protocols and tools
- Familiar with data center network architecture
- Hands-on experience with major network devices
- Familiar with mainstream commercial switch/router chipsets
- In-depth knowledge of public cloud architecture connectivity
- Good understanding of IPv6 and IPv4-IPv6 coexistence technologies
- Programming/scripting skills (Python, Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field
- Self-motivated with good communication skills
- Willing to participate in global on-call rotation
