The compensation package is highly competitive, ranging from $204,000 to $247,000 annually, plus bonus and RSUs. Responsibilities For Staff AI Performance Engineer
- Optimize inference engines like VLLM for maximum efficiency and scalability
- Enhance scalable AI infrastructure to accelerate AI inference
- Develop and deploy CUDA kernels to optimize deep learning workloads
- Conduct performance analysis and resolve bottlenecks
- Engage with AI research community and contribute to open-source projects
- Improve internal documentation and tooling standards
- Collaborate with AI researchers, engineers, and infrastructure teams
Requirements For Staff AI Performance Engineer
- Expertise in CUDA or OpenCL with demonstrated experience developing CUDA kernels
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Hands-on knowledge of training infrastructure such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Strong understanding of CPU & GPU architecture
