- Serve as senior technical expert and technical leader for one or more teams
- Build server/microservice/backends focused on delivering software
- Provide robust, scalable, performant APIs
- Support Aetna web and mobile applications
- Build software following modern, lean agile processes
- Deploy continuously into the cloud
Requirements For Staff Software Engineer
- 7+ years software development experience
- 4+ years API development experience
- 3+ years experience developing and deploying micro-services in AWS or other cloud environments
- 3+ years experience working with DevOps principles and CI/CD pipeline such as Circle CI
- Experience with both building new Greenfield server solutions and taking over existing projects
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
