Senior Security Engineer, Red Team

Databricks is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join their Red Team, focusing on proactively identifying and mitigating security threats across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments. This role combines offensive security expertise with cloud security knowledge to enhance the organization's security posture.

The position involves conducting Red Team operations, developing security tools and exploits, performing vulnerability research, and assessing cloud security risks across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments. You'll work closely with internal teams to improve security monitoring and response capabilities while contributing to the broader security community through research and findings.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting security assessments and Red Team operations
• Developing tools and exploits for security testing
• Performing vulnerability research and exploit development
• Assessing cloud security risks and configurations
• Collaborating with security and engineering teams
• Researching emerging threats and sharing findings

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in offensive security or Red Teaming
• Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, or Go
• Expertise in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with container security and Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of modern attack techniques
• BS or higher in Computer Science or related field
