Senior Security Engineer, Red Team

Databricks is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join their Red Team, focusing on proactively identifying and mitigating security threats across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments. This role combines offensive security expertise with cloud security knowledge to enhance the organization's security posture.

The position involves conducting Red Team operations, developing security tools and exploits, performing vulnerability research, and assessing cloud security risks across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments. You'll work closely with internal teams to improve defensive capabilities and security monitoring.

As a Senior Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

• Conducting security assessments and adversarial testing
• Developing novel attack techniques and automation tools
• Performing vulnerability research and exploit development
• Assessing cloud security configurations and risks
• Collaborating with security and engineering teams
• Contributing to the security community through research

The ideal candidate should have:

• 4+ years of experience in offensive security or Red Teaming
• Strong expertise in cloud security across major providers
• Programming skills in Python, C/C++, or Go
• Experience with security tooling and modern attack techniques
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• BS or higher in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
