This key role involves leading the software development of the API/integration stream for their next-generation payroll solution. The position combines technical leadership with hands-on development, requiring expertise in integration platforms, patterns, and architecture. The ideal candidate will collaborate with Product and Design teams, Tech Leads/Architects, and Development teams, playing a crucial role in design patterns, mentoring engineers, and setting coding standards. Responsibilities For Principal Engineer - Integration
- Leading development teams through influence, including planning, controlling and reporting on progress
- Working with payroll application architects to ensure harmonization of internal and external services
- Capturing knowledge continuously as part of your work
- Mentoring Developers in technical and other complementary team delivery skills
- Ensuring systems are developed within agreed budgets and time frames
- Overseeing the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of software
- Working closely with Product teams to ensure quality solutions are delivered on time
- Leads communication and collaboration across Development, and Product teams
Requirements For Principal Engineer - Integration
- Extensive experience and expertise in integration platforms, patterns, and architecture
- Deep knowledge of information security principles and data integrity measures
- Proficiency in performance optimisation techniques for integration processes
- Expertise in integrating with partner applications across different domains
- Knowledge of C#/.Net, C#/.Net Core
- Experience defining integration patterns and architecture
- Experience in designing and implementing integration service platforms
- Experience implementing secure API management solutions on cloud platforms
