Job Description

Decagon is building advanced conversational AI agents for enterprises, with customers like Duolingo, Notion, and Rippling. As a Data Scientist, you will bring technical rigor to data analysis, testing, and application across the business. You'll design and interpret experiments, apply statistical methods, and build scalable analytical frameworks to inform product strategy and company performance.

Collaborating with Engineering and Product, you'll establish measurement practices, expand data-driven decision-making, and uncover insights shaping Decagon's trajectory. This role blends analytical expertise with product acumen and influence at the highest levels.

You will enhance data models, metrics, and dashboards for consistent reporting. The role involves designing, implementing, and analyzing A/B tests, embedding best practices into product development cycles, and improving Decagon’s data stack. Clear communication of findings to executives and stakeholders is crucial, along with evaluating ML model performance.

The compensation ranges from $200K to $300K, including equity. This is a great opportunity to drive experimentation culture at Decagon.

  • Communicate findings clearly and persuasively to executives and cross-functional stakeholders, influencing strategic decision-making
  • Evaluate and interpret the performance of ML models (e.g., classification, recommendation, LLM-based systems), helping the team reason through trade-offs, limitations, and business implications of model-driven decisions
  • Be the primary driver of experimentation culture at Decagon, helping define how we design, measure, and scale experiments across the business
