DeepSource GmbH is seeking a Storage Resident Engineer to provide on-site support and technical expertise for PowerMax storage solutions. This role involves managing and optimizing storage infrastructure, providing technical support, and acting as a trusted advisor to clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Dell EMC PowerMax systems and strong knowledge of storage technologies.
The position requires hands-on management of PowerMax storage systems, including performance monitoring, capacity planning, and system maintenance. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting complex storage issues, implementing solutions, and ensuring optimal system performance. Client engagement is a key aspect, as you'll serve as the primary technical point of contact for storage-related matters.

Responsibilities For Storage Resident Engineer
- Provide day-to-day management and administration of PowerMax storage systems
- Monitor and maintain storage performance, capacity, and availability
- Perform upgrades, patching, and firmware updates as needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PowerMax and associated storage infrastructure
- Collaborate with vendors for hardware replacements and advanced technical support
- Assist in the design, implementation, and configuration of storage solutions
- Ensure optimal performance of storage systems through proactive tuning and maintenance
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for the client's storage environment
- Provide regular updates and documentation, including reports on performance and system health
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices and organizational standards
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend solutions to mitigate potential issues
Requirements For Storage Resident Engineer
- Proven experience with Dell EMC PowerMax storage solutions
- Strong understanding of SAN, NAS, and backup solutions
- Minimum 3 years of experience in storage infrastructure management
- Familiarity with VMware, Linux/Unix, and Windows environments
- Dell EMC certifications (preferred)
- ITIL or similar certifications (preferred)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and client-facing abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
