Job Description

Dematic, a member of KION Group, is seeking a Controls Design Engineer Professional to join their team in Guadalupe, Mexico. This role combines software engineering and automation expertise, focusing on designing and implementing sophisticated material handling automation systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both hardware and software design, creating technical documentation, and leading technical reviews. Responsibilities For Controls Design Engineer Professional

  • Design and implement material handling automation systems
  • Perform hardware and software design
  • Create technical documentation including calculations, design specifications, and test plans
  • Lead internal and customer-facing technical reviews
  • Mentor junior engineers
  • Design sophisticated conveyor controls software using programming tools
  • Configure Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) parameters
  • Create Embedded Conveyor Controllers (ECCs) configuration
  • Lead Software Technical Review Meetings
  • Perform conveyor systems emulations
  • Document findings and results according to Dematic standards

Requirements For Controls Design Engineer Professional

Linux
  • Bachelor degree in Mechatronics Engineering or related electrical design field
  • Advanced English - Written and Oral
  • 5-8 years of successful experience in related field
  • 3+ years Experience in Automation Engineering work environment
  • 3+ years Experience in electrical automation components selection and electrical Drawings
  • 3+ years Experience with PLC SW Development and/or Code Debugging (Siemens/ABB/Becoff)
  • 1+ year Experience in Material Handling Automation Projects
  • Desirable 1+ year Experience Leading Team Automation Projects
  • Desirable Basic Knowledge of budgets handling for Projects
