Job Description

Dematic, a member of KION Group, is seeking a SCADA/Controls Visualisation Engineer to join their EMEA-wide engineering team. This role focuses on creating visualization concepts and specifications for material handling projects. The position combines technical expertise in SCADA, PLC, and HMI systems with programming skills in VBA, C, and C++. Working in a hybrid model from the Banbury office, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing visualization solutions that meet both Dematic and customer requirements.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on global automated material handling projects, requiring both technical depth and client-facing skills. You'll be involved in the entire project lifecycle, from concept development to system commissioning and training. The position requires occasional travel to customer sites across the EMEA region, offering exposure to diverse projects and technologies.

Responsibilities For SCADA Visualisation Engineer

  • Define visualization concept and create specifications
  • Edit overview layouts and customer-specific documents
  • Create entire visualization systems
  • Commission systems
  • Provide system support during start-up phase
  • Train customer personnel and service employees
  • Maintain Dematic standards
  • Liaise with other departments, customers, and sub-contractors

Requirements For SCADA Visualisation Engineer

  • HNC/HND in Electrical/Controls Engineering minimum, degree preferred
  • Experience with WinCC, Iconics, or Ignition visualization systems
  • Experience in designing graphical user interfaces
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic Script (VBS), VBA, C, and C++
  • Good understanding of SCADA systems, PLC and HMI software
  • Experience with process visualization systems
  • Understanding of computer systems and server systems configuration
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% within EMEA region
  • Understanding of distributed control systems (desired)
  • Understanding of automated warehouse (desired)
