Responsibilities For Controls System Support Engineer

  • Provide second level technical support to maintenance team
  • Prepare/assist with budget costing and quoting
  • Complete regular system diagnostics and analysis procedures
  • Prepare PLC programs and configure SCADA and PLC-related equipment
  • Test and commission systems on site
  • Prepare test plans and operator & technical manuals
  • Train client personnel and provide customer support

Requirements For Controls System Support Engineer

  • Degree in engineering or scientific discipline or electrical trade with tertiary qualifications
  • Knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens S7 preferred)
  • Experience with SCADA applications like ICONICS, CITEC and WINCC
  • Knowledge of materials handling system controls
  • Ability to work without supervision and guide teams/projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Electrical trades licence qualification (highly regarded)
