The role combines cutting-edge robotics with practical applications in warehouse automation, where you'll work on sophisticated manipulation, control, simulation, and learning systems.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with multiple sensor types, including RGB cameras, depth sensors, and force-torque sensors, to create intelligent robotic systems. You'll be implementing advanced AI techniques, from reinforcement learning to motion planning, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve and optimize robotic systems that have already handled over 15 million goods in production.

Responsibilities For Senior Robotics Manipulation Engineer

  • Train models for robotic manipulation, force control, servoing etc.
  • Convert heuristics based control to learned models
  • Develop the right state space representation for Robotics Systems
  • Collaborate with roboticist, machine learning engineers, mechanical engineers, and product managers
  • Implement, test, and maintain high quality software
  • Lead efforts to improve the rigor and performance of models within Dexterity

Requirements For Senior Robotics Manipulation Engineer

  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of relevant Industry or Research experience
  • Strong Python programming skills
  • Knowledge of Modern C++ and Linux
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence (imitation learning, reinforcement learning, deep learning, LLMs)
  • Experience with Distributed ML Training Platforms
  • Experience with Task and Motion Planning
  • Experience with Simulation
