Job Description

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Data Foundations Platform and Governance Engineering team. This role focuses on privacy solutions and data subject rights automation, working cross-functionally with analytics, data architecture, legal and security partners to build scalable solutions to solve complex privacy related challenges.

The position is part of Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology, a global organization that marries technology with creativity to build world-class products, enhance storytelling, and drive velocity, innovation, and scalability for Disney's media business globally. The team develops and implements groundbreaking products and techniques that shape industry norms and solve complex technical problems.

As a Data Engineer II, you'll be working on privacy solutions and data subject rights automation, requiring acute attention to detail, strong accountability, and understanding of large-scale cloud data platform infrastructure. The role involves designing and building data engineering products, developing monitoring systems, responding to legal inquiries for consumer data, and maintaining data protection solutions.

The position offers competitive compensation with a salary range of $114,900 - $161,300 depending on location (Santa Monica or New York), plus potential bonuses and long-term incentives.   • Experience with technologies such as OneTrust, Databricks, Jupyter, Snowflake, Redshift, Airflow, DynamoDB, Redis, Kubernetes, Kinesis, REST APIs, Terraform, Go
  • SQL, Python, Scala programming skills
  • Experience solving problems in an ambiguous environment
  • Ability to think logically, communicate clearly, and be well organized
