Data Governance Engineer

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is reimagining ways to create magical viewing experiences for the world's most beloved stories while transforming Disney's media business for the future. The Data Governance team partners with Product Management and Data Tech Engineering functions to ensure consistent, trustworthy data across the organization.

As a Data Governance Engineer, you'll be part of the Data Governance Privacy and Compliance team, ensuring data throughout the ecosystem complies with privacy and security regulations. You'll work directly with analytics, data architecture, engineering, legal and security partners to build scalable solutions for complex privacy challenges.

The role involves:

• Designing and building privacy solutions for consumer privacy rights processes
• Developing monitoring systems for operational errors
• Responding to legal inquiries for consumer data
• Maintaining data protection solutions

You'll be working with cutting-edge technologies including OneTrust, Databricks, Jupyter, Snowflake, Redshift, Airflow, DynamoDB, REDIS, Kubernetes, and Kinesis. The position offers competitive compensation with a hiring range of $109,500 - $146,800 in New York/Seattle and $104,600 - $140,200 in Los Angeles, plus benefits and potential bonuses.

• Technical proficiency in SQL, Python, Scala, and REST APIs
