Disney Live Entertainment is seeking an Area Manager for Disney Cruise Line Costume Production to lead and oversee costume operations. This role combines creative leadership with operational management, requiring expertise in costume production, team leadership, and budget management. The position involves working with both creative and technical teams to ensure high-quality costume production while maintaining efficiency and budget constraints. The role offers opportunities to work with Disney's world-class entertainment division, managing costume production for cruise line shows and experiences. Responsibilities For Disney Cruise Line (DCL) Area Manager-Costume Production

  • Lead a Costumer team that meets or exceeds expectations
  • Provide daily leadership, coaching, and mentoring
  • Monitor and analyze costume inventory and show quality
  • Build and maintain strong working collaborations
  • Lead process establishment and Operating Guides
  • Participate in annual budget planning
  • Lead replenishment planning sessions
  • Partner with Operational Costuming areas
  • Prepare cost estimates and project management

Requirements For Disney Cruise Line (DCL) Area Manager-Costume Production

  • 5+ years experience in a leadership role
  • 3+ years experience in Costuming, Theater, Live Entertainment
  • Experience in garment construction and performing fittings
  • Experience mentoring and providing re-direction
  • Experience working with collective bargaining agreement
  • Ability to travel domestically & internationally up to 10%
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience solving conflict and gaining consensus
