Disney Experiences (DX) Tech & Digital is seeking a Lead Technical Project Manager to join their team that powers the magic behind Disney's premier vacation brands. This role is part of the 3PO Team responsible for program/project technical project management, financial management, and program strategy. The position offers a unique opportunity to work on world-class immersive digital experiences across Disney's Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Lines, and Disney Vacation Club.
The role involves managing complex technical programs and projects, working closely with Technology, Product, and Design teams to deliver strategic objectives. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing strategic planning, managing program deliverables, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful project execution. This position requires strong technical project management skills, financial acumen, and the ability to work effectively with executive stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include developing strategic planning for S/VP portfolios, managing program financials and forecasts, maintaining resource capacity planning, and coordinating delivery of program objectives. You'll also be responsible for risk management, stakeholder communication, and ensuring alignment with business strategies.
The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of program/project management experience, strong technical understanding, and expertise in various project management methodologies including Agile, Lean, and Waterfall. Experience with DevOps practices, technical tools like JIRA and Confluence, and strong financial management skills are essential.
This is a 24-month Temporary Assignment based in Orlando, Florida, offering the opportunity to work with Disney's world-renowned entertainment and technology teams. Responsibilities For Lead Technical Project Manager
- Develops strategic planning and prioritization for S/VP portfolios
- Facilitates evaluation and alignment on delivery of rationalized programs
- Identifies risks and opportunities, taking proactive approach to problem solving
- Produces monthly expense and capital forecasts
- Maintains continuous view of resource demand and capacity
- Establishes & maintains Technology and Digital roadmap
- Coordinates and facilitates delivery of program objectives
- Manages program/project execution and communication
Requirements For Lead Technical Project Manager
- Minimum 7 years of Program/Project management experience
- Technical project management expertise for global/national brands
- Experience with Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall methodologies
- Understanding of architectural and technical aspects of projects
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence Wiki
- Understanding of DevOps and testing concepts (CI/CD, TDD)
- Experience with budget tracking and cost-benefit analysis
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience
