Principal Software Engineer

As a Principal Software Engineer on the Solutions Architecture team, you will represent the Product Engineering group as an Architect. This role involves coordinating with engineering leaders across disciplines to define effective solutions to business needs and engineering challenges. You'll be designing, developing, and disseminating technical strategy across disciplines, with a focus on backend solutions for platforms like Disney+ and Hulu.

Key aspects of the role:

• Designing architecture and driving implementation of novel engineering solutions
• Coordinating with engineering leaders across disciplines
• Authoring detailed technical documentation
• Addressing production issues and articulating root cause analyses

The ideal candidate will have:

• 10+ years experience with globally scaled customer-facing applications
• 5+ years working across disciplines with stakeholders
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience with streaming technologies and mobile/connected devices
• Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and cloud infrastructure
