Principal Software Engineer - ESPN+

Product Engineering at Disney Entertainment & ESPN is a unified team responsible for the engineering of digital and streaming products and platforms. This role focuses on building and maintaining both the personalized content recommendation engine for ESPN and our in-house A/B testing solution. The position involves working with complex systems built on big data pipelines that process data about millions of users and thousands of new content pieces daily.

The role requires expertise in developing high-performance data platforms and involves taking ownership of data engineering components, infrastructure tasks, and ML/A/B testing efforts. As a Principal Software Engineer, you'll be part of a small, effective, agile team run by startup veterans, working on real-time systems that enable algorithms to adapt to the constantly changing sports news landscape.

The position offers competitive compensation with a salary range of $193,100 - $270,700 (depending on location), plus potential bonuses and long-term incentives.
