The Ride Project Engineer, Senior position is a leadership role responsible for delivering ride systems on time and on budget. This role involves managing every aspect of ride system design & development from concept through testing and handover for innovative ride platforms that require extreme duty cycles, high reliability, and inherent life safety. The position demands collaboration with diverse teams including both technical and creative members, and comfort working in environments where scope and requirements change frequently.

Key responsibilities include leading ride engineering teams, managing multi-million dollar projects, overseeing system design and safety requirements, and ensuring successful delivery of complex ride systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in engineering design, project management, and team leadership, with a strong background in safety systems and vendor management.

Responsibilities For Ride Project Engineer Senior

  • Serve as Ride Studio representative on project core teams
  • Lead concept and system design for innovative ride platforms
  • Define scope, direct teams, and balance stakeholder needs
  • Manage business interests: strategies, cost estimates, resource plans, and schedules
  • Ensure comprehensive, high-quality engineering results and system deliverables
  • Lead technical and safety design reviews
  • Oversee vendor design, fabrication, commissioning, and site installation/testing
  • Validate installations and conduct field testing

Requirements For Ride Project Engineer Senior

Linux
  • 5+ years of professional experience in engineering design, analysis, production, installation and test
  • Managed projects with budgets over $10 million
  • Experience as leader of a technical team through design and delivery process
  • Hands-on experience with equipment mockups, prototypes, fabrication, assembly, installation and test
  • Proficiency in life safety design/requirements of engineered systems
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or Software)
  • Experience leading the hazard analysis and system safety design process
