The Global Information Security (GIS) organization plays a crucial role in securing Disney's magic by implementing best-in-class services to assess, prevent, detect, and respond to cyber threats. We're seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our Disney Experience (DX) Security Research & Testing Team.
In this role, you'll be at the forefront of protecting Disney's digital ecosystems through advanced cybersecurity testing and strategy development. You'll work with cutting-edge technology to identify vulnerabilities, recommend solutions, and implement robust security measures across our complex technology landscape.
Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive security testing, from penetration testing to adversarial simulations, collaborating with developers and system administrators to strengthen our security posture, and effectively communicating findings to stakeholders. You'll be instrumental in identifying and documenting vulnerabilities in applications, networks, APIs, and infrastructure.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of IT security testing experience, strong proficiency in system hardening across multiple operating systems, and expertise in cloud solutions (Azure, GCP, AWS). You should have a solid understanding of security frameworks and standards, with relevant security accreditations.

The position offers competitive compensation ($126,400 - $169,500) plus bonus potential and comprehensive benefits. You'll be based in either Orlando, FL or Burbank, CA, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring at least 4 days per week on-site.

Responsibilities For Senior Security Engineer - Security Assurance
- Conduct hands-on testing to identify exploitable weaknesses
- Guide application and system owners in implementing security controls
- Collaborate with developers and security teams to remediate vulnerabilities
- Perform advanced cybersecurity testing and penetration testing
- Identify, exploit, and document vulnerabilities in applications and infrastructure
- Develop proof-of-concept attacks to demonstrate risks
Requirements For Senior Security Engineer - Security Assurance
- Minimum of 5+ years of related IT security testing experience
- Experience conducting comprehensive cyber security testing in complex IT environments
- Proficient in system hardening testing for operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- Experience with Cloud Solutions (Azure, GCP, AWS) and SaaS solutions
- Strong knowledge of network devices and secure configurations
- Understanding of security frameworks and standards (NIST, CIS)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Must be willing to be on-site at least 4 days per week
- Security accreditation (e.g., CISSP, GCIH, CISM, GSEC, CEH, etc.)
