The Global Information Security (GIS) organization strives to secure the magic by employing best-in-class services to assess, prevent, detect, and respond to cyber threats that present risk to The Walt Disney Company. As a Senior Security Engineer in the Disney Experience (DX) Security Research & Testing (SRT) Team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding DX's digital ecosystems.
Your primary focus will be performing advanced cyber security testing and developing/executing advanced cybersecurity testing strategies. This includes conducting penetration testing, adversarial simulations, and identifying vulnerabilities in applications, networks, APIs, and infrastructure. You'll work closely with developers, system administrators, and other security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and strengthen the overall security posture.
The role requires extensive experience in security testing, including system hardening for various operating systems, cloud solutions (Azure, GCP, AWS), and network security. You'll need strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (NIST, CIS), and the ability to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
This position offers competitive compensation ($126,400 - $169,500) plus bonus potential and comprehensive benefits. The role requires on-site presence 4 days per week and openness to both domestic and international travel.

Responsibilities For Senior Security Engineer - Security Assurance
- Conduct hands-on testing to identify exploitable weaknesses
- Guide application and system owners in implementing security controls
- Perform advanced cybersecurity testing including penetration testing and adversarial simulations
- Identify, exploit, and document vulnerabilities in applications, networks, APIs, and infrastructure
- Develop proof-of-concept attacks to demonstrate risks and educate stakeholders
Requirements For Senior Security Engineer - Security Assurance
- Minimum of 5+ years of related IT security testing experience
- Experience conducting comprehensive cyber security testing in large-scale environments
- Proficient in system hardening testing for operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- Experience with Cloud Solutions (Azure, GCP, AWS) and SaaS solutions
- Strong knowledge of network devices and their secure configurations
- Solid understanding of security frameworks and standards (NIST, CIS)
- Must be willing to be on-site at least 4 days per week
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Security accreditation (CISSP, GCIH, CISM, GSEC, CEH, etc.)
