Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Activation team to build and maintain scalable data processing systems. This role is part of the Commerce, Data & Identity division, which provides core product management functions crucial to Disney's media businesses. The position involves working with cutting-edge technologies including AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, and Airflow to process data at scale.

The ideal candidate will join a team of big data and backend engineers, contributing to large-scale programs and building components for both real-time and batch data processing. Requirements For Senior Software Engineer - Activation

  • Minimum of 5 years of related software development experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience with Python, Scala, or Java
  • Minimum 2 years experience with Spark
  • Strong experience with complex SQL development
  • Familiar with Docker and containerization technologies
  • Familiar with Airflow or equivalent schedulers
  • Strong software design principles
  • Experience mentoring and leading junior engineers
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or comparable field
