Job Description

Disney Experiences (DX) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Parks Commercial Platforms organization within Technology & Digital. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on Disney's Commerce Payment Platform, specifically focusing on Cart and Checkout features.

The position involves working with cutting-edge technology to develop and enhance software components that power Disney's premier vacation brands, including Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Line, and Disney Vacation Club. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading small projects, performing complex programming tasks, and working with large-scale software systems.

The role requires strong technical expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks, RESTful Web Services, and AWS technologies. You'll be working in an agile environment, collaborating closely with Product, Business, and Finance teams across the company. The position demands excellent problem-solving skills, deep understanding of data structures and algorithms, and the ability to design highly scalable software systems.

Key responsibilities include leading software development projects, debugging applications, defining system requirements, and staying current with emerging technologies. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience and a strong foundation in Computer Science principles.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $145,500 to $170,500 per year in Seattle, with additional benefits including bonus potential, medical coverage, and long-term incentives. This is a hybrid role primarily based on-site with occasional work-from-home opportunities in either Orlando, FL or Seattle, WA.
