Senior Software Engineer - Front End/Roku/Disney+

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is reimagining ways to create magical viewing experiences for the world's most beloved stories while transforming Disney's media business for the future. As part of the Living Room Devices, Roku Client Application Engineering Team, you will help push the boundaries of what is possible on some of the most interesting 10-foot devices in the marketplace.

You'll be part of the team that builds our Disney+ Direct-to-Consumer client app for streaming Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Hulu, ESPN, NatGeo, and ABC News content from one of the most popular streaming devices on the market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be a critical member of a team building client app experiences in BrightScript using Roku SceneGraph SDK
• Contribute to new application features from on-boarding to browse UI/UX experiences
• Work on analytics, video playback UI/UX and more
• Contribute to tools and systems development including JavaScript & React-based web tools
• Work with Roku to vet new hardware, firmware and certification requirements
• Collaborate with client SDK engineering, design engineering, and services engineering teams

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of development experience with client-side stack
• 2+ years BrightScript experience preferred
• Experience with MVVM architecture
• Proficiency in technical design and development
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Experience mentoring junior team members
