Disney Experiences (DX) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Photo Imaging and Media Services organization. This role combines software development and imaging science expertise to create magical experiences for guests. As part of the Photopass Technology team, you'll work on full-stack development projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the company.
The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with Disney's premier vacation brands, including Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Line, and Disney Vacation Club. You'll be responsible for designing, building, and delivering scalable solutions that directly impact guest experiences through various digital initiatives.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll lead small to mid-sized projects, working with distributed teams and vendors while maintaining close partnerships with Product and Design teams. The role requires expertise in multiple technologies, including C#, Angular, Node.js, and AWS serverless architecture. You'll be involved in the complete software development lifecycle, from conception to implementation and support.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, strong technical skills across multiple platforms, and the ability to mentor junior engineers. You'll work in an agile environment, contributing to various aspects of the technology stack while staying current with emerging technologies. Responsibilities For Sr Software Engineer
- Lead small projects including analysis, design, programming, and debugging
- Perform testing and debugging of applications
- Design and develop highly scalable software systems
- Interact with users to define system requirements
- Code at the component level
- Coordinate with engineering teams on integrated solutions
- Manage daily project activities and team assignments
- Track progress, manage risks, and ensure Scrum practices
Requirements For Sr Software Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience
- Proficient in C#, .NET Framework/Core, async programming
- Experience with AWS serverless (especially Lambda)
- Knowledge of WPF, Angular (v15+), JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js
- Strong grasp of cloud and serverless architectures
- Experience in managing multiple projects and working in matrixed teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in an agile environment
