Software Engineer, Core Platform

DoorDash is seeking experienced engineers to build and maintain their 24x7 global infrastructure system powering their three-sided marketplace. As part of the Core Platform team, you'll design and implement foundational components enabling DoorDash engineers to build, operate, and scale services efficiently.

The role focuses on creating reliable backend services with emphasis on adoption and extensibility. You'll collaborate across teams to identify pain points and opportunities, while maintaining mission-critical production services. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing scalable backend services
• Collaborating with engineers to identify and build essential components
• Maintaining production services meeting SLOs
• Contributing to engineering culture and technical direction

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of backend engineering experience, distributed systems expertise, and passion for building infrastructure products. Experience with JVM languages, Go, gRPC, Kafka, AWS, and Kubernetes is beneficial but not required.
