AIOps Platform Engineer
Job Description
Egen, a data-first technology company, is seeking an AIOps Platform Engineer to join their team in Phoenix, Plano, or Pleasanton. This role combines machine learning expertise with cloud engineering to build intelligent observability solutions. The position focuses on designing and implementing ML algorithms, particularly in time series forecasting, anomaly detection, and event classification, while ensuring robust cloud deployments.
The ideal candidate will work with cutting-edge technologies including GenAI, LLMs, and various cloud services (Google Cloud, Azure) to create a comprehensive AIOps platform. You'll be responsible for integrating ML algorithms and monitoring tools into a cohesive operational ecosystem that enables data-driven automation and actionable insights.
The role offers competitive compensation ($180,000-$200,000) and comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and various leave policies. This position requires strong programming skills in Python, experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), and proficiency in cloud services. Responsibilities For AIOps Platform Engineer
- Design, develop, and deploy ML algorithms and GenAI integrations for observability data in AIOps
- Integrate LLM-based solutions, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and retrieval-augmented generation
- Integrate monitoring and observability tools within a cloud ecosystem
- Deploy and scale ML solutions using Google Cloud and Azure services
- Implement and maintain observability data storage solutions
- Apply testing frameworks and agile development methodologies
- Collaborate across engineering teams to ensure AI/ML outputs are effectively operationalized
Requirements For AIOps Platform Engineer
- Hands-on experience with time series forecasting, anomaly detection, and event classification/correlation ML algorithms
- Strong programming skills in Python (and optionally R)
- Proficiency with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn
- Deep understanding of Google Cloud and Azure services
- Knowledge of observability platforms including Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Datadog
- Experience with Git and other version control systems
- Familiarity with MLOps practices, GenAI tooling, and modern code-assist solutions
- Knowledge of testing frameworks and agile development methodologies
