Job Description

Elekta, a leader in precision radiation therapy, is seeking a Software Engineer for their Neuro business line treatment planning software team. The role focuses on developing Leksell GammaPlan, a desktop Linux-based integrated treatment planning system for the Leksell Gamma Knife®. Working from their new office "Forskaren" in Stockholm, you'll join a collaborative team using SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) to drive innovation in cancer treatment.

The position involves working with C++ development in a Linux environment, focusing on creating efficient, reliable, and high-performance software solutions that directly contribute to helping medical professionals plan personalized and precise cancer treatments. The role requires expertise in GUI desktop application development, cyber security, virtualization, and cloud-connected systems.

As part of a regulated industry, you'll need to understand and follow strict procedures while participating in all phases of software R&D projects. The team works closely with multiple functions within the company, making strong communication and collaboration skills essential. Responsibilities For Software Engineer TPS Engineering

  • Participate in all phases of software R&D projects including requirement specification, design, planning, implementation, testing, and documentation
  • Evaluate technologies, methodologies, and products to enhance software development
  • Apply Agile principles and practices, following the SAFe methodology as part of a Scrum team
  • Understand and adhere to Elekta's quality system while contributing to its continuous improvement

Requirements For Software Engineer TPS Engineering

Linux
  • 1-10 years of professional commercial experience in C++ development
  • Experience in team-based environment with disciplined use of source code version control
  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Professional proficiency in English
  • Experience with GUI desktop application development
  • Knowledge of cyber security
  • Understanding of virtualization and cloud-connected systems
