Job Description

Join Eli Lilly's technology team as a SecOps Engineer in our Global ELITE+ program, a 1-year immersive experience designed to accelerate your career in technology. As part of our security operations team, you'll be responsible for providing critical Tier 1 and Tier 2 operational support for the company's network security, endpoint security, and cyber ops platforms. This role combines hands-on technical work with opportunities to drive automation and process improvement.

Responsibilities For Technology SecOps Engineer - Intern to Fulltime - Masters

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 operational support for network security, endpoint security, and cyber ops platforms
  • Triage and resolve incidents, problems and operational issues
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures
  • Monitor system availability and performance metrics
  • Develop automation scripts and workflows
  • Document procedures and create training materials
  • Implement operational runbooks and maintenance activities
  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors

  • Currently enrolled in master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering/Technology, Information Technology, Security or related field
  • Expected graduation by August 2026
  • Completion of 2025 Lilly technology summer internship
  • Experience in technology operations or security operations
  • Scripting abilities in Python, PowerShell, Bash
  • Knowledge of IT service management processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of security principles, networks, operating systems, and cloud computing
