Description For Vulnerability Assessment Engineer (CTS)

EMW, Inc. is seeking a Senior Vulnerability Assessment Engineer with NATO COSMIC TOP SECRET clearance for their security operations. This role focuses on conducting comprehensive security audits and vulnerability assessments for critical systems and networks. The position requires extensive experience in cybersecurity, with expertise in vulnerability scanning tools, particularly Tenable Nessus. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing technical CIS Security Audits, analyzing security weaknesses, and providing detailed recommendations for system hardening. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Mons, Belgium, running from January 27, 2025 to December 31, 2025. The role offers an opportunity to work with advanced security systems and contribute to maintaining high-level security standards in NATO-affiliated operations. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Travel to NATO and national facilities will be required for assessments.

Responsibilities For Vulnerability Assessment Engineer (CTS)

  • Plan and execute technical On-site CIS Security Audits (Type-3) for networks, systems, and applications
  • Analyse collected assessment data and identify security weaknesses
  • Write Security Audit reports with findings and recommendations
  • Provide briefings and information to support remediation and mitigation
  • Contribute to development of in-house toolset for data collection and analysis

Requirements For Vulnerability Assessment Engineer (CTS)

Python
  • Must have an active NATO COSMIC TOP SECRET security clearance
  • In-depth understanding of computer and communications security, networking, and vulnerabilities of modern operating systems
  • Expert level knowledge in executing vulnerability assessment scans for large networks
  • Expert knowledge of and experience with Tenable Nessus products
  • Extensive knowledge in developing advanced Nessus configurations
  • Thorough understanding of Active Directory security configuration
  • Comprehensive experience in system hardening and antimalware configuration
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure AD/Entra ID/Office 365 and/or AWS Cloud Security
  • Enhanced skillset in data processing automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
